Steve Evans To Replace Will Young In Strictly
2016-10-12
In a move that will surprise many, The Bugle has learned that former Millers boss Steve Evans is set to replace Will Young in Strictly Come Dancing, following the singers shock withdrawal from the show this week. A show insider told us,
“It’s true, I know people don’t see Steve as a natural fit for this, but they probably haven’t watched his dance down the touchline during the 2014 play off final against Orient when the second goal went in. There was a Salsa in there, bursting to get out. Len and Bruno spotted it straight away and he was our first choice once Will had gone.”
Evans, who has been out of a job since being sacked by Leeds in the summer, could certainly do with the work. The insider we spoke to denied that their decision was influenced by Evans’s legendary willingness to work for pies and beer though. “That’s got nothing to do with it”, she told us “And anyway, it will probably work out more expensive, especially if he stays in for a few weeks.”
It’s not the first time Evans has been linked with lucrative TV work. Just last month he was hot tip for an appearance on Celebrity Coach Trip, but sadly his PSV licence renewal didn’t come through in time.
