Beast From The East Claims Another Victim As Yorkshire Football Fan Forced To Wear Watch To Keep Out Cold

In the clearest sign yet that temperatures are approaching record lows, a Yorkshire football fan has been forced to wear a wristwatch in an attempt to keep himself warm. The Sheffield Wednesday fan, known as Tango, who is routinely seen at matches wearing nothing above the waist, gave in to the cold weather in Tuesday nights FA Cup replay against Swansea, and was photographed wearing a watch.
A friend, who asked not to be named for fear of being associated with Sheffield Wednesday said “He knew it would be a bit chilly and there would be nothing in the team’s performance to warm him up, and so he put the watch on. It wasn’t cold enough for a T Shirt obviously, but the watch strap just took the edge off the chill nicely.”
Despite the big freeze, temperatures have still not dipped to a level where postmen are forced into long trousers though.
