As Ant Goes Into Rehab Again, Dec Lines Up Replacement

As a showbiz pairing, they were thought to be inseparable, but as Ant McPartlin went into rehab again following his arrest for drink driving at the weekend, partner Declan Donnelly was already on the hunt for a replacement to carry on the act.
An insider told the Bugle “Dec let it go last year, because he felt sorry for Ant, but it’s happened again and he’s got bills to pay. He knows his value as a solo presenter is nothing in comparison to what he’s used to, and he also knows the value in the Ant & Dec brand.”
According to the same insider, Donnelly Googled ‘famous Anthony’s’ this morning and was disappointed to discover that they’re a bit thin on the ground. “Having been told to ‘Sod off boyo’ by Sir Anthony Hopkins, Dec’s set his sights on boxer Anthony Joshua.” the insider told us. “It’s not ideal because he’s about three times Dec’s size, doesn’t speak Geordie and hasn’t got any presenting experience. The Bugle understands that Donnelly will attempt to sell Joshua on the idea by pointing out that it’s a lot easier money than being punched in the head by an 18 stone Eastern European genetic freak, and there’s always an outside chance of getting a crack at Amanda Holden when BGT comes around.
