After intense negotiations, promoters last night announced that the two main contenders for Worlds’ Shittest Haircut have agreed to meet for a decider in Singapore in June.
Both camps were tight-lipped today about how they see their chances in the contest jointly sponsored by Husqvarna and Lloyd Loom, and so we spoke to a hairdresser in Rotherham. “It’s a tough one to call.” he told us. “You’re looking at two completely different interpretations on the shit haircut. It depends whether you prefer the ‘three-year-old-let-loose -on -his-dad-with-the-shears-while-he’s-asleep’ look or the ‘Cockwomble Comb-over’. Promoter Barrie Earn told The Bugle, “These two lads have come through a lot to get where they are. It’s just too close to call, although we’re keeping a close eye on the weather. My hunch is that if there’s a stiff breeze it could be all over in seconds.”
