Barnsley Woman ‘Taking No Chances’ Over Possibility Of Post-Brexit Food Shortages

A Barnsley woman says she’s not prepared to take any chances over the remote possibility of food shortages following Britains’s planned exit from the EU on March 29th.
Tracey Guzzle, 32 from Wombwell, has spent the last three months taking on extra calories over fears that a no-deal exit in March will result in some foods becoming difficult to obtain. It’s a move that has seen the local fitness instructor see her bodyweight balloon by over fifty pounds from a sylph-like seventeen stones to over twenty stones.
“You can’t be too careful, “ she told The Bugle. “Polar bears do it when they know they’re going to run out of Penguins, and I’m doing the same. Although I could go on to Kit Kats. Some people are storing stuff in larders but I think this is safer. Nobody can come and nick it.”
As The Bugle went to press, Tracey was planning a final push that she hopes will increase her bodyweight above the average for a woman in the town.
