Assenge To Be Extradited To Burkina Faso As Government Continue Policy Of Doing What Nobody Wants
2019-04-13
Jullian Assenge, who was forcibly removed from the Ecuadorian embassy this week where he has been holed-up since 2012, is to be extradited to Burkina Faso, it has been revealed.
Many observers have expressed surprise that the Wikileaks founder is to be extradited to the land-locked west African state where he has no known affiliations and of no interest to the authorities. Assenge is currently wanted in both Sweden and the United States relating to sexual assault and national security allegations, with both contries attempting to secure his return there.
A government spokesperson explained the decision “Following the Brexit situation, where there’s a difference of opinion over something, we’ve decided to respond with a course of action which nobody wants. That way everyone is disappointed equally, which has to be fairest all round really.”
An insider told The Bugle that the new policy could see Joey Essex in Number Ten before the end of the year, with Katy Price taking over from Philip Hammond at the Exchequer.
