Songs Of Praise To Be Axed After Entire Audience Dies Of Boredom
2019-05-15
BBC Sunday evening show Songs Of Praise was sensationally axed this afternoon after it emerged that the entire TV audience has now died of boredom. It’s the second major cancellation of a show this week following ITV announcing that there will be no more Jeremy Kyle Show’s, in the wake of the tragic suicide of a recent guest on the show.
A spokesperson for the BBC told The Bugle “Look, we’ve been getting away with this for decades now. Every year another group of people roughly equivalent to the population of Tunbridge Wells dies of boredom either during or immediately after the show. We’ve reached the stage where there’s nobody left and that can’t be healthy. Aled Jones is singing to himself most weeks, which is probably a good thing if I’m honest.”
Rumours that there are plans to revitalise the format with a weekly Muslims v Christians sing off, have yet to be confirmed.
