Barnsley Urged To Follow Saudi Lead And Allow Women To Travel Independently
2019-08-02
Pressure was being applied to civic leaders in Barnsley this week, following the long awaited decision of Saudi Arabia to allow women to travel independently. Women in the borough are currently only allowed to travel without a fat bloke in a vest if they are pushing a pram or visiting an off licence to procure beer and fags.
Speaking through an interpreter, a spokesperson for the local council told our reporter. “This would be a big step for us and we are worried where I might lead. Local men have expressed concerns to me that it could result in the nightmare scenario in which a woman isn’t back at home in time to put the tea on. For that reason, we’ll probably phase this in gently, with an initial limit of no more than ten miles from home.”
Regular readers will know that this is just the latest in a whole range of modernisation policies in the south Yorkshire town that has seen ironing and unlimited blow jobs taken out of the vows taken by women at local weddings in recent months.
