Secret Labour Plan To Abolish Role Of Party Leader Uncovered
2019-09-22
A Bugle investigation has uncovered a secret Labour plan to abolish the role of party leader altogether. It comes just a couple of days after a similar move to remove deputy leader Tom Watson, by abolishing his role, was abandoned at the party conference.
“That’s where we got the idea,” one of the dissident MP’s behind the plan told The Bugle “Its brilliant. The only thing standing between us and a Labour victory is that scraggy bearded twat. Having no leader is unconventional but it would also be better. It will be a vote winner.”
The Bugle understands that Labour MP’s are encouraged by the comparatively favourable reaction Boris Johnson received when he failed to turn up to a press conference with the Prime Minister of Luxembourg last week.
“Sometimes less is more, and nothing is a dammed sight better.” one MP told us.”We’ll be putting it before conference later in the week.”
