Corbyn To Agree To Election Once Threat Of Being Prime Minister Is Removed

Labour leader Jeremy Corbyn says that he is open to the idea of an early general election, but only after the threat of him becoming Prime Minister is removed once and for all.
Speaking after Boris Johnson called for an election to break the Brexit deadlock, Mr Corbyn said he was desperate for a general election, but would not be instructing his MP’s in parliament to back a move for one until every last chance of him being forced into the role of Prime Minister has been completely eradicated.
A Labour insider told The Bugle “There’s nothing we want more than a general election. Everyone is clear on that. But while the chance of Jeremy being elected and him having to do something remains, he’s not going to take the risk. Boris Johnson has proved time and time again that he can’t be trusted, and we’re fearful that he might use an election as an opportunity to put Jeremy in Number Ten while the nation is distracted.
As The Bugle went to press Mr Corbyn was continuing to whinge and whine about the wicked Tories while neatly sidestepping the opportunity to do anything positive about it. “Jeremy is far too long in the truth to fall into a trap like this.” our insider revealed.
