Tory Adviser Had Every Right To Go Down, Says Shearer

Pundit Alan Shearer says that the Tory advisor allegedly ‘punched’ by a Labour activist outside Leeds General Hospital had ‘every right to go down’. Early reports suggested that the advisor to Health Secretary Matt Hancock had been punched, but slow-motion footage aired later appeared to show accidental minimal contact between the pair.
“That doesn’t matter” said a resolute Shearer “If he felt a touch, he has every right to throw himself to the ground and roll around like he’s been taken out by a special forces sniper. You have to admire his honesty for carrying on, but it was naïve, it really was.”
Fellow pundit, Gary Neville, watching the same footage, disagrees with Shearer “The Tory advisor was clearly looking for it,” he told The Bugle “Look at how he leaves his face hanging out there. He was lucky not to get done for simulation.”
The contoversial incident is likely to increase calls for VAR to be in place in and around all arenas of potential political disagreement.
