Barnsley College to offer BTEC in Dogging Site Management

Barnsley College have announced a whole range of new courses to start September 2020 including a BTEC in Dogging Site Management. The move is said to be part of a shift in the college’s curriculum to more accurately reflect the needs and interests of local people.
“I think a lot of people were surprised when we offered the Diploma in Fly-Tipping last year.” said curriculum director Charles Williams “But it’s proved very popular and we expect this new course to be the same. A Lot of people seem to think you can set up a dogging site willy nilly but there’s a lot more to it than you might think. This course will address that.”
The Bugle has been given a preview of the course syllabus which includes modules on site selection, marketing and customer servicing. There will also be the opportunity to take up options in first aid, upholstery cleaning and clinical waste disposal. “It isn’t all theory” said Mr Williams “This is very much a hands-on course.
We’re expecting students to get stuck in.”
