Leaked Whitehall papers have revealed that sending James Corden to America was a government-backed initiative, designed as a direct reprisal for the imposition of The Kardashians on the UK.
Many observers and commentators had assumed that the arrival of the corpulent cockwomble on US primetime TV was some kind of joke, or the result of a horrendous balls up in some Tinseltown booking department, but these leaked papers have revealed the truth.
“We knew we couldn’t let the imposition of the Kardashians go unpunished” an insider told the Bugle “and so we needed to let them know we really meant business. We’d already sent Piers Morgan in response to every f****ing shit sitcom they’ve dumped on us, but it had clearly not worked. We needed to go big.”
