Barnsley Barry Beats The Odds And Buys His Own Caravan

A 42 year old man from Barnsley who was brought up on a council estate has defied the odds by buying his own second-hand four berth caravan.
Barry Hallibut who left school with just a single GCSE, bought the luxurious mobile home which features partial indoor sanitation and a light, with money earned selling single cigarettes in pubs. “I started when I was sixteen ” he told us, “You only make a few pence on each one, but it builds up nicely over the years. And then my Nan died last month and left me £500, so Bob’s your uncle.”
Despite his success, Barry remains modest. “Anyone could do what I’ve done if they still have living relatives who aren’t totally on their arse.” he said. “You just need to be patient.”
Unfortunately Barry won’t be getting the chance to use his new toy any time soon though. “The only problem I’ve got now,”, he told us “is that it’s a tourer and I haven’t got a car. Our lass said I should have bought that first, but I can’t drive and I‘ve always wanted a caravan. I’m living the dream, and saving up for an awning.”
