History Rewritten As It Emerges Russian Soldiers That Invaded Poland In 1939 Were ‘Just Tourists’

Historians were being forced to rewrite their textbooks this week after it emerged that the Russian soldiers widely believed to have invaded eastern Poland in 1939, were in fact, just tourists. That’s the shocking truth to have come out of a TV interview on Russian state television this week with Yuri Bolokov, (92) one of the oldest survivors of what he called  “a cultural trip.”

“We had heard fantastic things about the cities in Eastern Poland and particularly their churches, “ he said. “Some friends told us about a spectacular cathedral in Warsaw with a 200 foot steeple, and we were very keen to see it. None of us could believe it when we were subsequently held responsible for a campaign of mass persecution, summary executions and the capture of 230,000 prisoners of war. It was just coincidence that we were there at the same time.  The stained glass was absolutely magnificent.”

The Bugle understands that the more recent supposed invasions of Georgia and Crimea, may also be examples of enthusiastic tourism being misinterpreted.
