Government Make It Easier To Get Rid Of Wife Than Crap Tenant
2019-04-15
The government announced two pieces of legislation this week which make it easier to get rid of your spouse than a random bloke who rented your flat last week.
Completely without irony, new legislation will enable no-fault divorce for the first time, while other proposed legislation will prevent no-fault termination of tenancies. It means that the sanctity of marriage is now held in lower import than the sanctity of a shorthold tenancy agreement.
Under the new regime, a woman will be able to quickly dispose of her husband, who will subsequently have nowhere to live because all the buy-to-let landlords will have sold up, having decided it’s really not worth the bother.
