Man Who Says “You Couldn’t Make It Up” May Never Have Read A Book

A man who said “You couldn’t make it up” about a comparatively unremarkable series of events on his journey from work. may never have read a book or watched a film it has emerged.
Lee Vitout from Barnsley arrived home 38 minutes late last Thursday evening as a result of a number of hold-ups on the way, each occurring one after the other. When wife Donna asked why he was late, it was then that he proffered the opinion that “You couldn’t make it up.”
“I think Lee underestimates the ingenuity of people whose job it is to entertain and entrance the public with their clever tales.” Donna told The Bugle. “While some temporary traffic lights followed by a broken down bus and a burst water main appears to him to be a scenario impossible to construct from thin air, there are people capable of doing it, and some of their stories are even more way out and zany than that. But Lee isn’t much of a reader, or consumer of popular fiction delivered across any medium.”
As the bugle went to press, some of Lee’s friends were clubbing together to buy him a set of Jeffrey Archer novels and a Netflix subscription. Regular readers may recall that Lee hit the headlines earlier this year following his ongoing campaign to prove that the Apollo moon landings were faked.
