The southbound M1 slip road at Dodworth is the second most popular tourist attraction in Barnsley according to Tripadvisor.
Site users praised the attraction for the quality of the tarmac and the way in which it appears to warp time. “What a great feature.” wrote one Tripadvisor contributor “One minute you’re in some sort of nightmare-ish pastiche of the 1980’s, and just a few seconds later you’re zapped back into the 21st century. It’s brilliant.” “I live in Ipswich and wish we had something like this.” wrote another.
The southbound slip road was marginally beaten for first place by the northbound slip road at the same junction.
