Local Man Goes On Expensive Holiday And Doesn’t Post Any Pictures On Facebook.

A Wickersley man has shocked friends and family by not posting any envy-inducing pictures on Facebook while on holiday in The Caribbean. Stewart Lee from Morthern Rd hasn’t even logged in to his social media accounts while he’s been on the holiday island of Barbados for the past 10 days.
“I can’t be bothered with all that crap” he told our chief reporter who flew out to meet him after examining the relevant extradition treaty, “I’m enjoying myself too much to be faffing about on Facebook. And besides, I don’t need people replying ‘Oooh that looks lovely’, ‘You’re a lucky bastard’ and stuff like that to validate my travel decisions and make me feel better about how much money I’ve spent.”
Stewart is no stranger to holiday controversy. Even before social media he refused to ring home to ask what the weather was like, to brag that he’d been in his shorts all day, or to tell everyone that it was “reight hot” where he was.
Next winter, Stewart is going to Australia, but has no plans to post a picture of himself in front of the opera house, at the top of Ayers rock or in Sydney harbour wearing a floppy brimmed cork hat. “I’m just going to have a good time” he said “And I don’t need to piss everyone else off to do it.”
